What Should I Expect On The Day Of My Buttock Lift?
Your procedure starts with liposuction of your own fat cells from the abdomen or another area. Autologous fat cells are then cleaned and processed. After cleaning and processing, the fat is reinjected back into your buttocks in various locations and depths, depending on the shape desired. The fat cells are strategically transferred to your buttock region, providing more posterior projection and fullness. The transfer of your own autologous fat cells into your buttocks is artistically performed layer by layer by Dr. Zamora, first starting deep within the muscle and slowly becoming more superficial.
How Long Does It Take To Perform A Buttock Lift?
Your buttock lift procedure may take several hours, depending on your goals and other considerations. Dr. Zamora will give you more information on how long the procedure will take during your consultation.
What To Expect After A Buttock Lift?
Patients are given pain medications to be taken post-operatively following a buttock lift, and the majority of patients can return to work after a week to 10 days, although a full recovery may take several months. You will be instructed by Dr. Zamora not to sit directly on your buttocks for up to three weeks following surgery to ensure the best results, and you’ll be given a special garment to wear for two weeks that controls your swelling. You can return to work within two weeks and resume all normal activities within a month.
