That will depend on the area where fat is being removed and the amount you need eliminated. Most procedures can easily be performed within a two to three-hour window.
What to Expect After Fat Transfer and Injections
You will be sore in the area where fat was removed. Dr. Zamora may also place a drainage tube in this location to prevent fluid build-up. It is important to keep this tube in place until after your follow-up visit and follow any instructions you are given concerning its care.
Will I Have Scars After Fat Transfer and Injections?
Some scarring is possible in the area where fat is removed, but you should notice no scar whatsoever in the location where it is reinjected into your body.
How Long Will the Results of Fat Transfer and Injections Last?
The results should be long-lasting since your body cannot regrow fat cells. However, the donor site could once again expand in size if you gain a significant amount of weight in the future.
