What Should I Expect on the Day of my PDO Thread Lift Procedure?
The PDO thread lift procedure will begin with Dr. Zamora administering local anesthesia. This is done by injecting an anesthetic beneath the skin in the treatment area, numbing the surrounding tissue. Then, a needle will be used to pierce the skin and insert the PDO threads. The threads will be maneuvered beneath the skin to tighten and lift the skin as desired. Any incision made for the PDO thread lift procedure is so small that no visible scarring occurs. The full treatment is performed in under an hour.
What Can I Expect After My PDO Thread Lift?
Thanks to the minimally-invasive techniques involved, the PDO thread lift procedure requires minimal downtime. Patients can expect some swelling and bruising that typically resolves within a few days. Despite these temporary side effects, you should be able to return to most of your normal activities immediately after your treatment. There are some exceptions, as we advise patients to avoid strenuous exercise and any activity that could dislodge the threads. This includes sleeping on your side and rubbing or massaging the face. Patients can fully return to normal approximately 2 weeks after treatment.
